FloatingA Poem by joewadeA poem of a night of loveFloating By Joe Wade Floating on a smile for this hour; Lifted up by sweet lips touched, Lost to greater things of power, This is meandering moonlit night streets lightened. Golden brushes with her candlelit hair, Add to tiny flames of dancing on shadowed skin soft. Emerald eyes throw the light’s fire. Sparkling night’s fare Brings the walk of lover’s lonely city back streets where all plans are lost. Soft. Her voice fills heaven’s sleeping, winking night sky. Words whispered in the pass of our secret, Heard in listless steps of sweeping feet and one deepened sigh, Sliding down walls, and alleys that repeat it. Back to bed with angel imprint fading, It’s cold when a nightmare’s only dreaming. © 2010 joewadeAuthor's Note
