Disguise

Disguise

A Poem by Joie Richardson

My heart broke
when I looked in you eyes
I finally new you enough
To see through your disguise
I could feel your pain
With the smiles on your face
The thought of you alone
Always made my heart race
I was so selfish
Because you always put me first
But I never understood
How much you really hurt
It killed me a little more each day
To see all your happiness wash away.
