War Life

War Life

A Poem by Joe O

It's quit.
Not a sound.
It's hot.
Nothing but sand.

It's almost day time.
That's when it starts.
I can see people setting up.
I can hear people talk but I don't know what they are saying.
I hear a sound.
Its sounded like a pop.
It's was.

Now there's a lot of popping sounds.
I see people falling.
I see people yelling.
I see people dying.
It's war.
There is nothing good about it.

Why do we fight?
Why do we kill?
I was told killing was wrong but yet i'm here killing.
I know they killed first but still should we kill back?

Should we be called hero's?
Should we stop fighting?
Should we keep killing?
I don't know.
But my leaders say yes.
