Hard sometimes to find the same place Dorian. Love and life is trickery. I liked the honest tone and the strong ending. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

Cleverly contrived, clear visual... 'I am in the West, you are facing the East'
Hopefully you know that flowers have meanings.

Hello Dorian... this is the second of yours I have paused with...
The sense of real - pervades your words... the emotion is evident. I don't find joy in reading your thoughts, I FEEL the emotions within them...and THAT is the hallmark of what Poets do! Nice to meet you.

I'm not kind Dorian, but I AM being real. And your relevance is readily apparent.
"East Flower" is a poignant and metaphorical piece, Dorian, illustrating the longing for a connection that remains unrequited. The tender care and attention given to the plant mirror the nurturing of a relationship, yet despite all efforts, the outcome is beyond our control. The plant's orientation, facing east while the speaker is in the west, symbolizes the unbridgeable gap between them. It's a beautiful representation of the futility of trying to force something to grow when the conditions are not favorable.
The delicate dance of the pink and white butterflies adds a touch of elegance to the sorrow, emphasizing the purity of intention in the face of inevitable separation. The poem leaves a lingering question: Can love, like a plant, be coaxed into blooming under the right circumstances, or is it destined to wither away no matter the effort

Alice, thank you again for your thoughtful comment. You understand my lines.
The beloved is metaphorically compared to a plant, emphasizing both fragility and the need for care.
This is very well written, sometimes we have to pass by many directions(obstacles) before finding the one.
May that be in your path soon. Great poem, loved the comparison with a flower.

A lovely metaphor "you".... can be a flower that is nurtured or a human heart that may be nurtured or not...depending upon location and other things...in this case neither the plant nor the heart were cultivated..there is sadness in this piece; it seems that facing in different directions portends some rupture in this human connection...nicely created...
Warmly, B
