Candle Light

Candle Light

A Poem by Joel Moore

a candle is lit
it burns, flickers
it illuminates
it warms

shadows are given to things around it
covered by the light
given existence out of darkness

sometimes bright
sometimes dim
ever shortening
'til nothing is left

in an instant
it is blown out

...
. beautifully written ...
. i agree entirely with flyingdreams ...

Life of a candle is thankless..... you have captured the brevity and the unpredictable nature of it well.
