An Ocean's WaveA Poem by Joel Moorei feel the sun's warmth hear the squall of a sea gull and smell the ever lingering scent of kelp the ocean swells a kid laughs with a ball another cries amidst mounds of sand people are laughing some even kissing i dig my toes deep to sand not yet warmed smelling the saliferous breeze as it chills my skin the water peaks i want to hold this moment if for only a second the wave crashes it is gone
