The Passing of Time

The Passing of Time

A Poem by Joel Moore

the sun goes
the moon comes
and so on as it's always been
another day closer to death
another day more of life
an experience gained
a wrinkle found
wisdom replaces youth
as present replaces past
life should be lived
so when death arrives
one shouldn't need any more life to live
so, is the passing of time

I liked this poem it was very simple but potent and I really enjoy that style. The only thing I would point out is that I felt a little bit of an awkward step into the last line, but that could just be me. This is just a thought to be thrown out there but as a suggestion maybe make it "This is the passing of time"; this is only a suggestion so do as you will with it. =3 As I said before though, it was a great read and I really enjoyed it. =3
