A SunsetA Poem by A Foiled SoulBeauty can be found, in the oddest places.
As I sit here,
Awaiting death, I prepare to breathe, My final breath, I look down, And see the blood, I'm terrified, My eyes now flood, But in the corner, Of my eye, I see a glimmer, I wonder why, I look up, Only to see, The most beautiful sunset, Awaiting me, I begin to question, All that I know, When I see my world, It starts to glow, How is it, That I can be close to the edge, But such a simple thing, Can pull me back from the ledge, For the beauty of the world, Humans cannot see, But when your life is ending, You begin to believe, That there is more to this earth, Than you and I, I look back down, And begin to cry, As I realize the cuts were deep, And it is too late, I will still die, Ill meet my fate, But on exiting this reality, I've seen true beauty, I'm finally relieved, I am no longer on duty, © 2014 A Foiled SoulAuthor's Note
