Love contends to a violent pointA Poem by Joseph C OgbonnaA poem that illustrates the beauty of Nubian women.
You've kept my heart's dynamite aflame.
You know I can never be the same since your charming kiss did my heart tame. What words can describe your beauty's fame? No smile can contend with yours' my Dame. It sends sorrow back from whence it came. Zeinab the sweetheart of Nubian fame, whose love men would seek for like a game. Each dreaming at the mention of your name. And if in contention they must maim dislodged rivals by making them lame, for your worth many would never blame them for such apparent show of shame. © 2019 Joseph C OgbonnaAuthor's Note
