Ship Without a Shore

Ship Without a Shore

A Poem by Jo Donnan
"

Kind of started as a song but then I realised I can't sing and should stick to what I know :)

"

When did I start talking

To myself again

I thought you were all for me

Until the very end

But I was mistaken

It was all pretend

And now I’m all by myself

It is lonely when I see the place you used to sleep by me

And it is silent when I can’t hear you breathe at night anymore

I am a ship without a shore

I am a game without a score

I am a house without a floor

I am a ship without a shore

You were always golden

You’ve never had to try

Everybody loves you

But you don’t know why

I am drawn to sparkles

And you just catch the light

And now I feel like I am blind

It is lonely when I see the place you used to sleep by me

And it is silent when I can’t hear you breathe at night anymore

I am a ship without a shore

I am a game without a score

I am a house without a floor

I am a ship without a shore
