Waiting for Someday

Waiting for Someday

A Poem by Jo Donnan

I will rest my weary head
On your steady shoulder
Together we will grow older
Someday

Our lips will meet with fervour
Feverish, with urgency
As if it's an emergency
One day

You will fill my dreams
My solitude will become lonely
Because I want you beside me
Someday

I will long to know your every thought
And you mine
Intrigue with every line
One day

One day our eyes will meet
You will smile and I will stare
Darling, I know you are out there
Just waiting for someday
