we are the shy people

we are the shy people

A Poem by jodi sharp

We are the shy people

I hide in a corner

They call use wall flowers

We can hide behind a camera or

A canvas. We can love and we

Can hate. We can be free and be held in.

We are people to.

We just suffer from hiding syndrome

Were we hid behind fear, music, books, art and are excuses!

We are the shy people. The people who never know what is like to be in the lime light, the center of  every ones curiosity.

The people who will never travel the world.

Who will be stuck in the same town.

Who will be scared of love.

Who will sit in a chair.

Who will not enjoy the prom.

The people who envy you!

We are the wall flowers.

We are the shy people.

I love the message you're giving out in this poem, but I feel that the lines in your poem are uneven. If you make all the lines long or short together, it will seem more like a poem to your readers. Not to offend you, but I'm just giving you a suggestion. I'm planning to publish an anthology about people who struggle with Avoidant Personality Disorder and people who have family member and/or friends who do. If you want, you can submit this poem since I believe it would be a great piece to add. :-)
