A Poem by Joey Calvo

When the moon's rise illuminates the dark,
The aspiring gawks from earthly folk
Are held higher than the minerals arc
And moo exalt'd than the mantel's stroke.
 f'r saturn's slick rings art ev'r so lov'd
Like the writers exchang'd when the love shines.
Ov'r pluto's enigma, fame is shoved;
Like the forceful feelings from k-nine signs.
Yet all the sparks of gas and dust surround,
From the corse which bears our native hope.
As the pulsing swoosh of the oceans sound,
Leaves nay man 'r creature left sad to mope.
And as the heavens above sparkle bright,
The magnetic force she bears pulls us tight

A beautifully astronomical sonnet, I love the choice of words. My favorite lines would be:
"Yet all the sparks of gas and dust surround,
From the corse which bears our native hope. "
Great job :)

Thank you so much! And those are the two lines that I came up with first, funny enough
It has a magical ring to it. Intriguing.
