LOCKER TO THE PAST

Patty Pony could feel the butterflies flying around in her stomach. As she and the Rocky Shores assistant principal Miss. Lion walked to the far end of the main hall

And here is your locker Miss Pony did Miss Bo give you the combination number to the lock back in the main office? She asked

Yes she did but umm aren’t there any lockers nearer? This locker a bit far from the rest Patty shyly asked

Somewhat but I’m afraid this was the only locker that was empty right now. Maybe in a couple of weeks we can find you another one. Now why don’t I give you a quick tour of our school okay Miss Lion answered her back smiling

A few hours later Patty sat in her chemistry class trying her best to keep up to what the teacher was saying. In her mind she was speaking alien instead of English. She went to pick up one of the water bickers that were in front of her. But it slipped out of her hoof and onto the floor

Thank you Miss Pony for showing the class on how not to pick up a bicker. Next time please use both hoof her chemistry teacher frowned okay you little monsters before the rest of my good mood shatters. I’m going to let you out early we’ll pick it up again tomorrow. Enjoy the rest of your day and try to stay out of trouble she added

Patty started picking up the broken glass from the floor

You don’t have to do that I’m sure Miss Blue will have the janitor clean up after we all leave a friendly voice from behind her spoke. Patty turned around and saw a smiling mutt staring at her

Hi I’m Puppy rough morning huh?

YahI’m Patty it’s tough being the new kid the way my day is going so far. I feel like I just flew in from Mars in my last school we didn’t even have a chemistry class

Well don’t sweat it it’ll be over soon and tomorrow you won’t be the new kid anymore Puppy laughed so what’s your next class?

Patty took out a piece of paper from her jean pocket and read it

Umm its gym class

Cool that’s my next class I’ll show you how to get there Puppy answered

Thanks I can use all the help that I can get

Patty went over to grab her books when she noticed a pale looking pony standing by the classroom window. Just staring at her

Hey where did you come from I thought everyone left? Patty asked

Hey Patty hurry up we don’t want to be late! Puppy cried out from outside the hallway

I’ll be there in a second! Patty grabbed her books she was going to ask the pale pony a question but she seemed to disappeared

After her gym class Patty went to put her books away before lunch. She closed her locker and was startled to see the same pony standing right in front of her

Oh sorry I didn’t see you standing there. Hi I’m Patty I just--. And before she could finish the pony faded away right in front of her. Patty held back her urge to scream and took off running down the hall and didn’t stop running until. She was out of the building and bumped right straight into Puppy

Whoa! I know that you’re having a bad day but it couldn’t have been that bad she laughed

Oh my god Puppy! If I tell you something do you promise not to laugh?

Puppy put up her paw and promised

Cross my heart

Okay I know this is going to sound crazy but I think that I just saw a ghost Patty cried out

Oh yah right! Puppy began

No it’s true

Then after Patty told Puppy the whole story about the mysterious pony. She just looked at Patty as if she was crazy

Well at least you didn’t laugh Patty mumbled. Puppy was about to answer her when a car horn honked

Oh there’s my mom I better go I’ll see you tomorrow! Patty cried before she ran off

The next morning Patty went to her locker when she opened it. She was surprised that someone had left a necklace inside of it

Okay Patty don’t freak its perfectly normal to find a strange necklace. That you never seen before inside your locker

She took it out and slowly put it around her neck. Suddenly the school changed to another time period

Hey Tabby! Where did you get the cool neck piece from? It’s very far out!

Huh? I’m sorry but I think that you got me confused with someone else my name is�"

Well there you’re Miss Todd I’ve been looking all for you. Now I don’t have all day either so you either march your butt into the chemistry room right now. Or I’ll just fail you right here right now! An annoyed voice from behind them spoke. Patty was so confused and scared by the whole thing that she quickly took the necklace off. And threw it back inside her locker

After school Patty found Puppy by the water fountain

Hey Puppy! I’m sorry that I snapped at you yesterday. Can I talk to you for a second

That’s okay don’t worry about it Puppy smiled so what did you want to talk to me about?

It’s more like show you come on it’s inside of my locker

A few minutes later they were both standing in front of Patty’s locker

Okay what’s it? Puppy asked. Patty opened her locker and said

Well this morning when I went to get my books I found this necklace in here

So? Puppy shrugged

So it’s not mines I don’t know where it came from Patty answered her

Oh wow!

Puppy you haven’t seen anything yet Patty laughed. She then took it out and placed the necklace around both their necks. And just like before the hallway changed

Hey! How did you do that? Where are we? Puppy asked as she looked around

I don’t know I just put the necklace on and it takes me here Patty shrugged

Hey Tabby whose your friend? A young bird asked Patty

Oh hi this’s Puppy she’s new�"

Miss Todd how many times do I’ve to ask you a voice from behind interrupted

But Patty began

No butts Miss Todd right now! Then she walked away

Oh wow! Was that Miss Lion? Puppy whispered over to Patty

I think so she does look a lot like her Patty whispered back

This is totally creeping me out Patty take us back Puppy added. A few minutes later they were back in front of Patty’s locker

Now that was beyond weird why did that girl call you Tabby? Puppy asked

I don’t know all I know is that every time. I put on the necklace the room changes Patty explained

Hey I got an idea come let’s go to the library. I want to check something out Puppy answered her

Okay by what the kids were wearing I’d say that we traveled back to the eighty’s

Okay but what are we doing here? Patty asked

We’re going to look in every yearbook from that time period. Until we find Tabby here you take half and I’ll take the other half Puppy answered handing her a big pile of year books. An hour later Puppy closed the last year book and sighed

I don’t think she’s�"

Hey I found her! Patty cried out. She flipped the year book over so Puppy could have a better look

Below was a picture of Tabby the mysterious pony that Patty had seen before. Next to Tabby’s picture were the words

And hey look who she’s standing next to that’s the girl who called you Tabby, Puppy pointed out

Yah and they’re standing next to my locker. I bet you that was her locker also Patty added but why is she showing herself to me?

Don’t know maybe she’s trying to tell you something Puppy shrugged

Like what?

We’ll solve that mystery tomorrow I promised my mom. That I’d be home early today and help her clean out the garage. Hey if you’re not doing anything you’re welcome to come. Maybe we can talk my mom into taking us out for ice cream when we’re done Puppy said

Sure sounds like fun I’ll meet you outside I be there in a minute I’ve to use the little girl’s room first Patty smiled

Puppy went to call her mom when she noticed Mrs. Crow walking towards her

Hello Puppy waiting for your mom?

Umm no Patty, Mrs. Crow you’ve been teaching here for a long time haven’t you? Puppy asked

Yes Puppy I’ve why you ask?

Did you know a student by the name of Tabby Todd? Puppy asked

Tabby? Why yes she was a student here way before your time. She was a very sweet girl it’s a shame what happened to her

What happened to her? Puppy asked

There was a terrible accident she was making up for her chemistry exam. She probably didn’t notice that one of the burners was faulty and turned it on. When it blew Mrs. Crow explained

Oh wow! How awful! Do you know who her teacher was? Puppy asked

Yes it was Miss Lion before she became our assistant principal. Puppy do you mind in me asking why you wanted to know all of this? Mrs. Crow asked

Oh umm I’ll explain it to you some other time promise. But right now I’ve to see what’s keeping Patty bye and thank you Puppy cried before she ran off

Puppy ran back inside and straight back to Patty’s locker. But she wasn’t there

Oh great!

She was about to check out the girl’s room when she ran right into Tabby

Oh hi I’m Puppy, Patty’s friend you wouldn’t know where she’s would you?

Tabby slowly nodded then touched her necklace that looked a lot like the one Patty found

She’s not in the past is she? Puppy asked. Again Tabby slowly nodded her head yes

Oh no! We’ve to warn her! How can you help me I know what happened to you

Tabby smiled then took her necklace off and placed it around Puppy’s neck. Seconds later she was back in the past Puppy ran all the way towards the chemistry room

No Patty! Stop! She yelled. Patty looked at Puppy with a confused blank look on her face and asked

Puppy what are you doing here?

I’ll tell you later but we’ve to ---

Excuse me young lady but what are you doing in here? You ain’t supposed to be here an annoyed voice from the doorway asked. Puppy walked over to the table and picked up the faulty burner

Look at this if she were to turn this on she would’ve blew herself up! Puppy yelled. Miss Lion looked at the wire to the burner and was shocked

I don’t know what to say Tabby I didn’t know. Why don’t you girls wait for me in the principal’s office I’ll be there in a few minutes

Oh wow! Puppy you just saved my life! I would’ve been toasted if you wouldn’t have stopped me. How did you know it was going to happen Patty asked

I ran into Mrs. Crow outside and she told me what happened to Tabby. Then when I went back and couldn’t find you I got a little help from the real Tabby. She gave me her necklace so I could get you Patty can you do me a favor. Can we please get out of here Puppy asked this place really gives me the creeps

A few seconds later they were back in front of Patty’s locker

Puppy I don’t know how to thank you

I’m just wonder what’s going to happen to Tabby now? Do you think that we’ll ever see her again Patty asked her

Don’t worry about it and I don’t know hopefully she’ll get the peaceful ending that she was looking for Puppy shrugged

Hi girls I was wondering if you could help me a voice from behind them asked

Sure how can we help you? Patty asked

I was looking for the principal’s office

Sure we’ll be happy to show you just give me a second. I want to get something out of my locker Patty added

Say does it still get stuck?

Huh?

Your locker does it still stick when you try to open it?
