kindred

kindred

A Poem by josephine dinnair
"

connection, empathy, mutual exchange

"

head flung back , toes pointed

balanced on a sash of blue satin

pain, anguish, displayed not relieved through art

precariously floating for all eternity

below herald the birth of kings

housed within not mere bricks

mortar binds together power, dogma and truth

death so young , younger than i but less diseased

regret of back seat taken

childless, my first born wide eyed

chanel of a fresh absorbing mind

beget normal , accessible, no spectacle

do you feel your blood race through us

a voice, an outlet , but for a moment

you live ,touch, even breathe, again

unconditional ardour in blue eyes sparkle

intrumental now your heart survives

now grown , enlightened a woman is she

bared by you, barren no longer
