reposeA Story by josephine dinnairpeacewake up fresh as a daisy, comfy crisp clean sheets, moss green walls, white gloss windows. flowers, cornflower blue in the vase, just perfect. nurse wofts in, floating like an angel with a tray of breakfast delights, wonderfully balanced, healthy refreshing, she plumps up my pillow. slip my feet into pink fluffy slippers. shuffle to the shower, water flows over me like silk. fresh towel around my head, i drift out onto the terrace. i nestle into a stripey deckchair . the air is crisp and fresh with the slight sent of apple blossom. i look out over the cliff, morning sunlight skipping over the rippling waves. gulls swoop and glide gracefully by. i dose off after a chapter or 3 of a new book i was dying to get yesterday. softly awoken an hour later by the manager, golden haired, young transparent skin. asking if i need a rug over my knees , i decline politely, as im feeling rather toasty with warm contentment. not bothered by not being able to find my laptop, probably for the best. i reach into my dressing gown for my moblile, but cannot seem to get a signal. want to show my daughter this view , but im sure my husband will mention my stay. my thoughts turn to him , slender toned body, velvet voice , i missed being apart from him last night as we are one. he probably did not notice my abscence ,curled up with his favourite moggy , i smile to myself. abscence makes the heart grow fonder doesnt it? my mind floats off to castles and pirates, this place inspires me, my mind racing exhilerated my pen darts across the page forming my next masterpeice...... suddenly its dinner time , a few clouds gather in the corner of the sky, but even they are fluffy and care free.. the waitress with flame red hair and fairy like freckles sits me down at the best table. the menu is delectable. i may just put on a few pounds. the waitress sits down and asks me how i am enjoying my stay, i say its the most beautiful day i have had since my wedding day . she places her hand on my arm and tells me that my husband will be joining me very shortly but my daughter would not be able to visit for a very long time, then bang it hits me like the jugernaught swerving in the pouring rain , im in heaven!
