emancipatorA Poem by josephine dinnairrescued by a saviour warped with timeprotect me , throw criminals to the deck see me strong in my throne of power persuade me , seduce me, lure me tho i was entangled in another but alas! are my clothes a mask? swathed from head to toe burden you take upon yourself tho incompatible are we wash me, feed me , secure me scrape me up off the floor along with remnants of my face , my life, my very soul insides now dead, eroding cannot harbour life two rejected spawn from sterile loins lie begging in the gutter under the street lamp in bitter rain pitied but rejected for the sorry state seen before you infestation of the mind entrenched return a lifetime later on the day of my birth do you mock? do you tease? when actually now you are weak behind jeers hysterical absolution released at last onto my flailing shoulders to carry for you eternally i owe you this much tho to your choice of perfidious spouse i renounce never return to me tis done
