chagrin

chagrin

A Poem by josephine dinnair
"

hanging on the breath of an angel

"

armor flutters to panic

empty chair, streamed sullied light

sit meekly, faintly, dormant

no riposte, monotiny chimes

life abridged, tarry for a moment

no slumber, no chimera, no succor

hesitate, vacillate, hesitate

HALT

meteoric contact

mindful, considered, genteel

terrified, elect each symbol

single spoken out of site

or deemed contumelious

prove inclined to destroy

distorted heart charred on hob

on the width of a feather

hangs morrow continuence

from beneath beg listen

utter what you perceive

tis not what i convay

i implor from dirt

help me

this is very good. it is incoherent and almost a stream of images and adjectives and verbs and imperatives that somehow all mesh together. Very post-mod with a semi industrial dark vibe to it. Lines/images in specific I fancied:

sulied light

monotiny chimes

meteoric contact

width of a feather

And of course

I implore from dirt

What an ending (was the mispelling on purpose? convey is also mispelled, i think)

this is quite different then most of the work on here, refreshringly different. Nice work.
