lace

lace

A Poem by josephine dinnair
"

how giving stength to others makes you whole

"

spirited with fire

flourishing over green sea

here labour at depths under me

sire son, world rocked then betrayed

smashed chairs and dreams which i cover in lace

a commical inevitable union

sanctury and core destroyed

you turn to me

my hand cannot reach far enough

it touches unable to grasp

my lace so strong yet not wide enough

to prevent or soften plunge

horror of violated innocence

different lands they fight the poison

with crowds of adoration

unfair reward for pure genius contribution

claw back chipping up the crevice

to flourishing over green sea

now i see you, watch your utter splendor,

i beg cover me in lace,

as i need to breathe

Poem took me in many directions. I read the poem a few times. So many statements stood out.

horror of violated innocence

These lines were outstanding. A excellent poem. Thank you.

Interestingly written piece...one has a different view of lace and yet you express with it the need to breathe...which translates into a need to live...
nice work...
