I SEE

I SEE

A Poem by aacpuente

I see a girl standing in front of me,
Staring at me.
Those eyes that reflect nothing but wonder,
But with a lips that are pursed with sorrow.

I see her hair,
Sevenfold longer than mine.
Those black in tip-top shaped strands
Rest perfectly on her breasts.

I see her skin,
That glows from the rays of light.
Porcelain white skin
That everyone loves to have.

I look back to her eyes,
The eyes of a young girl,
Who wanted to have all the love in this world.
Became who she desired to be.

Sometimes when we see ourselves as someone different from the past or present, there's a little joy and success we can feel. After all the pains and sorrows we have, the future still have its promise of a change...

Nice piece, Kabayan. Happy writing!
