My Love

My Love

A Poem by Christina Jones
"

This is a poem I have recently written about the love for my family.

"
You make me feel whole
I was half empty but now I'm full
With the strongest love that a person can retain
It's almost impossible for me to refrain
From smothering you from head to toe
With hugs and kisses that numb the soul
You fill me up with hopes and dreams
That only exist in my head it seems
Only for now 'cause we are constructing
Our own little life we need no instructing
We got this down just you her and me
There's nothing else that we need
I can't see myself with out you by my side
There's nothing from you that I can hide
I never knew that my heart could split in two
In a good way for it's because of the two of you
The loves of my life and my reasons for living
I will always be here understanding and forgiving.
We are here for each other until the end.
Until we've grown grey and our bodies no longer bend.
Our skin will be cold but our souls still warm.
They're still bonded and rising with the heat of the storm.
We look down on our children and couldn't be more proud
We've done all that we could and what our hardest allowed.
We did a fine job and now its our time.
To rest in peace and and watch the family tree climb.
