The PontiacA Poem by james l navasSilence, the noise is deafening. We wait; the perfect ambush laid, To defend our village against the brutal invader. Our great leader Pontiac; He leads us to rebel for our tribe. For the honour of our lives and our peoples Our arrows against their bullets. Like a thorn in their side we bring down the raging beast, the creator protects us shows us the way leads us to victory. The embodiment of their David and Goliath story A true show of irony. Brains versus brawn We put up a strong fight but in the end we can't do it the industrial power defeats our never ending courage we fight to the last. The lands stained with our blood. But the stain washes out.
