I Just Wanna Shine

 

            I just wanna shine,

            Take the world and make it mine.

            But they say I can’t,

            That there’s too much pain in my past,

            These smiles, this laugh,

            They simply won’t last.

            They say I’m hiding beneath a mask

            To conceal my sorrow.

            But I’m not, I was hurt in the past,

            Not today and not tomorrow.

            They weep and say,

            “What a shame”

            They cry for me, though I don’t feel the same.

            This isn’t a time to mourn,

            I’m free, I’ve just been born!

            I’m the one that feels sorry for them,

            Because they’ll never see, they won’t feel,

            Such relief, joy that’s almost unreal.

            When a candle burns in the day

            Its flame flickers, an insignificant light,

            But in the darkness it burns so bright.

            So be happy, smile,

            Because I can see the world like a child,

            Every day is a miracle,

            Be glad for sadness, because without it,

            We’d have no idea how amazing life really is.

wow... Great poem.. I love the meaning behind it...I fav part was....
