Fictional Love

Fictional Love

A Poem by Jamie Lee
"

Inspired by Twilight.

"

Fictional, yet perfect

A mythical creature

Surviving off the blood that

pulses through her veins

His addiction is adrenaline,

a rush of euphoria

Flawless in every detail

from his liquid topaz eyes to

the sheer agility he possesses

Imperceivably fast, a blink

and he's gone...

His voice like velvet -

an unintentional seduction.

His touch lethal -

a dangerous obsession.

His scent enticing -

the front man to his arsenol.

She feels his breath

cool against her neck,

An involuntary shiver

creeps down her spine,

His kiss is like ice,

His lips smooth as marble,

Her heart stutters as she

gasps for a breath of air,

Her body trembles,

Her eyes flutter shut,

Reality sets in.

She was drawn in the

moment she met him,

An uncontrollable force that

parallyzed her, his

presence left her breathless

Always unsatisfied, she

grasped for more...

But there was nothing left.

Softly, she closed the book

Holding it tight to her chest

She tried to channel his touch

to inhale his sweet fragrance

to feel his lips upon her collarbone...

Unexplainable,

she doesn't understand

Left with nothin but the words that

filled the space in her paperback book,

she fell in love with a vampire.
