Sonnet XII: XX

Sonnet XII: XX

A Poem by martinRFR
"

i long to see her once more, even by a distance would suffice.

"

Snow maiden in my abject mind reside

I hold thee so dear so pray do not leave.

Fair Isis countenance may you not bide

Farewell to my dream for truly I’ll grieve.

Gods, favor me, let sky weep longer still

She shall stay, the water nymph, a while more.

And Graces and Muses do more instill

Great melodies, inspire the minstrels’ lore

That doe-eyed maiden may twirl in merry

With graceful steps and dance lightly in glee.

Whimsical and bloten thoughts I carry

In my mind and kept affectionately

But also aching in another light,
my eyes see not what my heart have in sight.

Author's Note

martinRFR
Snow maiden, i derive this from the Japanese folklore being, the yuki-onna.
She reminds me of the yuki-onna, how i imagine how beautiful a being it is, which i read back in grade school from the book 'Kwaidan' by Lafcadio Hearn.

About
I derive most of my writings from a pessimistic point of view, so most of my themes, most people say, are quite sordid. But its not entirely true, i tried to put into words, written, what i have in mi.. more..
