Fleeting DreamA Poem by martinRFRWhen the subconscious is at work, returning to reality is truly a nuisance. The breeze calm and kind In
the low hill find. Hear
the wind whistling From
the leaves waving. Soft
grass a cushion T’is
a nature’s fashion.
Above
the blue sky The
free birds do fly, Their
songs fill the air With
gai’ty and fair. Such
a pleasant sight To
behold in light.
And
watch the great feat Of
the fair Naiad beat Upon
the earth stage. I
had been engaged To
witness encore Only
gods can score.
See
her dance lightly With
artful dainty The
soft grassy sea. Her
arms wave fairly Fabrics
of silver do trail Her
form without fail.
And
such a bother When
I be sober. All
this good things gone When
this dream is done. So
the break of morn I
do greet with scorn. © 2013 martinRFRReviews
