A Poem by SadLarry

A silence heard

Through spoken words

Thirteen months passed

Since we last

Touched

Or spoke

Or felt, it seems

I see your name

And feel past pain

Of everything that’s not the same

I recognize that you're the bane

Of my existence

So what's changed?

We're not the same

I recognize that you're to blame

And the last thing keeping me insane

Is the vision of your name

And your face

And that parking space

Our private public place

Where we spoke and touched

Lonely with our counterparts

Only when they tear us apart

I never once asked you to try

The first/second/third time that I

Found you in your little web of lies

Back to the night when time crept by

And I was counting the seconds pass by the sound of the rain on your windshield
