A Fond RemembranceA Poem by Justin AugustA stroll down memory lane
Her eyes, beautiful and chocolate brown
to match a personality just as sweet were always a treat to look longingly into and my favorite sight to get lost in for hours. Her Smile shone like stars, a wonderful twinkling that illuminated every corner of my soul and brought a permanent lantern into my personal cavern of despair and grief. Her laugh was as light as a feather, yet echoed into each crevice of my heart and lightened the heavy burdens I there carried, suspending their weight to nothing. her love was as honest as a rough diamond, rough and worth the price of a fortune, but not before facing pressure and heat enough to bring out its allure. Priceless, yet given freely. Her leaving brought me such despair, As what I may have will never compare.
