Hazel BruisesA Poem by Jasminean object poem based on an apple.Your dull resonance when I knock
deceives me. Although your exterior presents itself
as tough and sturdy, I know that you are like the
commonplace bully; resilient at the surface, yet feeble
at the core. Your pigment, a notable green, lends
itself to injury. Smears of cardinal red resemble the
continents, buoyed up among ceaseless waves and held together by the poles. Pardon me for dropping you like an
anchor, blackening your crisp complexion. Although I’m keen on your more crimson
alter ego, I’m drawn to your dimples and your
hazel bruises. Drifting into a deep slumber, You cascade from my hand. © 2013 JasmineAuthor's Note
