Distilled VodkaA Poem by Jasminewritten mostly out of spite.A distorted vase of distilled vodka,
lies, But not how you lie when you
constantly devise These brash and trashy plans to wreck perfectly palatable people. You should
check the books or the bible, but I doubt
they will claim a fifteen minutes of fame for you, and I reckon if there was a
record for the number of times I had to
disregard an insult or indirect reference at
your intelligence there’d be two too many to use as
evidence against you in the court of law, where I’d solemnly swear to tell the
truth, but there I’d have to withdraw because you are like a pet peeve that is unceasing yet deceiving in the way you latch on like a leech sucking all substance from me and
refusing to leave. Yet also in the way I couldn’t
possibly manage by myself Like the flowers on my shelf in the distorted vase of distilled
vodka which isn’t really vodka but actually
aqua. © 2013 JasmineReviews
