How the Rainbow was created

I wrote this for my old mythology class in 5.11.10 and i just edited it. it was a lot of fun to make, any comments will be welcomed. You can know the mythology gods and goddess, or you can not.

   One Saturday afternoon Odin's wife Frigg was at a party. Odin did not attend this party. Only a few people where at the party by the sea. Including Poseidon, Zeus, Apollo, Thor, Loki, and Aphrodite. While Frigg was getting a bite to eat, Zeus would try to talk to her. But she would not even look at him. Zeus did not enjoy it when someone would not speak to him, Zeus tried screaming at Frigg. Frigg did not pay attention to Zeus, because she never liked how he always cheated on his wife Hera. Frigg and Hera were best friends until Zeus made Hera hate Frigg, for no reason at all. Frigg walked away to go back where the music was to dance alone. But again Zeus would not give up, he still bothered her, screaming her name every two seconds. After a long thirty minutes passed by she finally answered, "what do you want?" Zeus stated, "just a hug, and I will leave you all alone." Frigg kept thinking for a few minutes...
   She said, "alright," suddenly when Zeus hugged her he slipped a pill in her drink she was holding. Because Zeus never liked Frigg, everyone prayed to her and liked her more than him. Zeus was very jealous, but didnt realize what would happen. Zeus received the pill from Bragi. Bragi said the pill was just going to make you fall asleep faster. Well after Zeus had finished she walked away. Frigg became very crazy, dizzy and loopy feeling. So she put the drink down, grabbed her purse and left the party early to go back home.
   On her way home she kept hitting into trees and hit her toe on her left foot up against a rock. Her toe began to pour out red blood. She sat down onto to rock to get a band-aid from her orange purse. As Frigg was pulling the band-aid out she had seen an yellow mushroom growing out of the ground. She was starving and decided to eat it. Little did anyone know, Bragi mixed up the sleeping pills, he gave Zeus a new magic pill. This magic pill makes most of the colors the person touches appear in the sky. Suddenly the colors red, orange, and yellow appeared in the sky.
   As Frigg looked up she fell from the rock. She was terrified because she had no clue what was going on. When she fell from the rock her small hand touched the green grass on the ground, then the color green shot up into the brisk sky. She panicked and ran, ran, ran until she found a pond. She thought she could have a sip of the blue water without anything happening. However she thought wrong, she drank the water with her hands and the color blue magically shot up into the sky next to all the other colors. Frigg did not know what was going on at all. She decided to calm down and try to relax, in order for her head to stop spinning. She thought the colors were not her fault. Just to see if it was her fault she saw a beautiful indigo and violet flower. While she picked up the flower and gently brushed her fingers over the colors, those colors appeared in the sky.
   All of the colors were together in the correct order, making them an upside down letter "U." The magically colors were red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet.
   It started to rain a lot outside, and Frigg did not know what to do. She was so stressed out, she passed out onto the ground. While she was sleeping, everyone looked into the sky. When they did Zeus sneezed, and everyone heard him, so everyone just thought he did this magically thing. But still today the pretty seven colors show up to form a rainbow in the sky.

I like writing that is different, and seeks to explain something that is rarely touched, such as a rainbow. Rather than describe it and awe it you delve deeper into its creation which is great, and makes an interesting read. I also love the incorporation of mythology to aid the story, it always adds to any origin attempt! Overall, its a nice story, but I was expecting something stronger towards the end than a magical pill, it was a little anticlimactic to be honest, and just made me question why the rainbow had not already been created if other people could possess such pills, if that makes sense? The foundation of the story is strong I would perhaps just touch it up here and there so that the end result matches the idea behind it! But a nice read nonetheless! :)

That's a very fun and creative way to imagine how the rainbow was created. I thought that part was very interesting. I think the story could use a bit more detail though. It was rather fast, and there was a bit of punctuation errors, especially at the beginning. It was a very good idea though!
