Loving you hurts my heart

again another sad poem. to express my feelings about a guy who i should just forget about.

I wanted you to stay
But instead you drove away
Leaving me with more black bruises on my broken heart
Why are we still far apart?
I truly poured my heart out to you
But you still ignored me
So I sing, " Every night I cry myself to sleep, thinking why does this have to happen to me? Why does every moment have to be so hard? "
Every night no matter what I try to do, I always dream of you
Even during the day i see visions of your face
How can time make things better,
when I think of you every moment,
whether we are together or not?
I keep giving you another chance every night
To make things right
But afterwords again you leave me here all alone
It is so hard to go on
I know I have to let you go on your own
But I keep holding on, why?
It can NOT be over, can it? No.. right? 
I guess flings are better than the real thing
I keep pretending you will come around my town again
I just do not what to do anymore
Hopefully for tonight one or two of my dreams will come true
For my heart to not hurt nor feel lonely anymore.

It really hurts to put yourself out there and not have it come back to you. This could almost be put into a narrative story.
