Rebound

Rebound

A Poem by Joshua Lobdell
"

Sometimes we do things we are not proud of...this is about using someone else to help get over someone

"

You are not her

I am pretty sure

Just something new

Because she turned me blue

You gave me a certain feeling

Stupid crap, I am so not dealing

Sure, I called you that thing

Fulfillment you did not bring

We never felt all that real

For you I could not feel

Maybe I was really cruel

You were so willing to play the fool

In you, what have I found?

Not much, just the rebound

From her to you, and back

Time to get my life back on track

And let out a little sigh

You are not her, goodbye
