Slow

Slow

A Poem by Joshua Lobdell
"

So lately I have been all about the work I wrote before I got married. Which is stuff I wrote over 10 years ago. I like them cause a lot of them could have be written in the present.

"
What is love? I want to know
And for her I want to show
In us, I would like to grow
Mend our hearts, oh so slow
We fell for each other fast
Still coping with out past
I wonder will this last?
As our love hardens in its cast
But there is baggage we both carry
Love can be oh so scary
Our history has been so hairy
Are you my Princess, is that a fairy?

First of all, congratulations on your ebook 'Verses'. Poetry can be extremely personal and individualistic and that is clear in yours. However, the theme of this poem is classic and if there is any suggestion to add, it would be to proofread more carefully, as the second to the last line is somewhat amiss. Other than that it is a good showing.
