Colors of the Wind (a poem)A Poem by Joshua Donahuea poem about the true colors of mother nature
Colors of the
Wind (a poem)
Brightly-lit yellow
painted on the face of the sun As I look up, squinting
from the powerful light to see it Rich, baby blue plastered
as the sky Pale, white in the
freeform clouds As my eyes trail across
the place above my head, looking like its own city of wonder Dark, ruby red sparkling
across the cherry tree As I pluck one from the
leaves of life just to get a small taste of its sweetness Rosy pink flowers
sprouting up from the ground Along with violet violets Making me want to run wild
and get lost in a forest of the colorful stems with buds on top And lively green grass
acting as the floor As I do it all on Earth’s
playground Feeling the full effects
as it blows against me As it is…the colors of the
wind © 2011 Joshua DonahueAuthor's Note
