Hanging By A Thread

Hanging By A Thread

A Poem by Audrey Bruckner
"

wrote this when i was like 12 so not that great....

"

hanging by a thread

a thread of faith

a thread of hope

praying for a way

to help me cope

with the way you drink

the way you yell

and leaving me

a hollow shell

finding forgiveness

finding love

searching for aid

from God above

you're heaven

you're hell

with a sudden sip

from grace you fell

no room to grow

but room to hurt

the way you act

i feel like dirt

but i will be better

than anyone

cause through it all

i will become

a smile even

despite the pain

and a sun that shines

throughout the rain
