Exile

Exile

A Poem by Tara Ghorm
"

I started listening to Not One of Us from the Lion King 2, and felt that it applied to my current situation. And so, I wrote.

"

Exiled from the pack, the whole
They wish to tear my throat
Or am I exiled from my soul?

Precious metal revealed as coal
I guess it’s time to grab my coat
Exiled from the pack, the whole

My misery friends can’t console
So heavy hearted I can’t float
Or am I exiled from my soul?

I can’t change now or control
The things I’ve done, I’ve wrote
Exiled from the pack, the whole

Still, I follow him beyond control
I told him so within a note
Or am I exiled from my soul?

Now they guard his heart as if on patrol
How do I convince them of my right to vote
Exiled from the pack, the whole
Or am I exiled from my soul?

A excellent poem. I like to roam alone myself. To watch the world and learn. Too many people can make me feel surrounded. Some packs ain't worth being in. I like the feel and desire to feel wanted.

Sometimes the leader has to see past what the pack thinks and do whats right for the pack even though some do not see it as so, its one of his jobs as leader.
