The ShadowA Chapter by Tara GhormNever ever do this. Yeah, yeah, I'm the Cat.Happily, the Shadow dances, Hislove, The Flower praces. They twist and turn across thier world So lost in their romances.
Into the scene stumbles a Cat Curious, lonely, she stops like that. "How lovely, a Shadow! He'll be mine! And I'll love him forever!" She sat.
As she watched them in envy She growled, hissed shouted "Lord, lend me The strength that I need! I must break this deed!" So she pranced and acted quite friendly.
"Dear Shadow," she said, whilst the Flower was gone " I must say, of you I'm quite fond!" The weak willed Shadow offered with the Cat to lay And they went off to create this bond.
Troubled with guilt, the Cat cried "Oh beaultiful Flower! What sin crossed my mind!" She whimpered and stalked, meowed and hissed. It hurt worse the more that she lied.
The Shadow could tell that the Cat was not well He asked softly, "What's wrong dear? Do tell!" The Cat arched her back, and told him her guilt He was suddenly pitched into hell.
The Shadow, that sinner, was tormented daily No longer could he dance with his Flower so gaily. Crushed beneath this burdern. Sin. He confessed, a sickness stank stalely.
With the burdern most lifted, He smiled. They loved truely, hate mild. But the Cat creeped back home, oh so alone The jealousy burned in her; wild. © 2009 Tara Ghorm |
