Friendship

Friendship

A Poem by Tara Ghorm
"

Just a sappy friendship poem I did last year. Probably the last happy, non-sarcastic poem I can remember writing. ((Actually, I don't remember writing this, but it was on my Writer's Network account, so I must have!))

"

You are always there when I need you
You’re always around to give me a smile
And when I need a friend to hold
I know you’ll be there all the while

You’re the friend a friend would have
You are there to hold out a hand
You lift my spirits and give me hope
You help me make a stand

Please, never leave my side, never go away
It seems now that I need you to be alive
The time we spend apart seems to be forever
I know I need you to survive

Please, hear me now, and listen close
If you’re the friend I think you are
And you care about friendship as much as I
Then we can be close even when were far
