The Reality

The Reality

A Poem by Broken Warrior

"
There's more to love than laughter,
So much more to pain than tears.
There's more to health than mobility,
And more to life than years.

There's more to happiness than smiling,
Much more to anger than rage.
More to freedom than self satisfaction
And in life, there's more to lose than gain!

There's more to questions than answers!
More to lies than truths...
More to adventure than uncertainty,
And so much more to me than you!!

Quantity can lack quality,
And loyalty consistency!
Faithfulness endurance,
And disaster subtlety.

A poem is worthless,
Until it is viewed by someone who can relate.
A heartbreak is fatal,
Less its disturbed by one who has dealt with worse.

SUFFERING IS ETERNAL,
TILL DEATH IS PRESENT.
PAIN IS INEVITABLE,
LESS LOVE IS ABSENT!

ONE'S PRESENCE IS MEANINGLESS!
UNTIL THE DAY HE GOES MISSING.
TILL HE GOES AND NEVER COMES BACK!
TILL HIS VOICE IS A MEMORY
AND HIS LIFE  A STORY!!!!!!!!

Surrender hope when trials arise...
Surrender fear too...
What does fear do to prevent what you fear?
And what does hope do, if its still no guarantee??!

Sick of questions..
Cursed questions.
Sores that go unhealed...
Unattended to!!!!

Regardless of the meaninglessness, of the impending state we are ushered into by the beings responsible for the completion of a "Master Plan", we do have choice...but at the risk of losing so much more than a dream!

The reality is,
What we call freedom, many call a dream.
What we call a fear, many call life!
What we call a need...
Many call disposable!
When I scream
You scream sorry
When I bleed, you claim affection...
But when im gone,
You claim ignorance...

Each day is numbered....Each moment is precious, Each soul is fleeting, and each heart is aching!

The biggest nightmare

is Reality

I've said this before on other reviews. Sometimes you could read a poem and tell that its not coming from a genuine place. What does a good poem need? It needs something said by everyone to be re-said with timbre, velocity and HONESTY! You my friend have written one of those "bulls-eye"! Brilliant.

This piece has not only claimed my writers heart but also seems to have reduced my eloquent, elaborate writers vocabulary to just one word....WOW!!!!!!!!!!....seriously within these verses some harsh truth's reside but expressed with such a beautiful gliding and point on rhythm one forgives the punches packed inside the truthful words ..written with the rawness and sincerity of heartfelt emotion this was very very nicely done... one of those great writes that, once read, the reader is somehow left forever changed by the truths and thoughts provoked therein...bravo -DannyLynne

Holy S**T! This piece left me speechless. I am so glad I chose to read your writing! This piece is intense and I love everything you point out. I can relate too. You never really know how much someone truly means to you until they are gone. I hurt each and everyday since my brother passed away. I don't face the reality that he is gone because reality hurts way to much...it is a nightmare. I LOVE this piece! I'm sure a lot of people will be able to relate to this piece in some way. You really got me thinking with this piece. GREAT job! VERY well written! :)
