One Sided-Blind Sided

One Sided-Blind Sided

A Poem by Broken Warrior
"

How unfair life is, for a man.

"

Its interesting to see how the world operates.

A man falls inlove, they both grow close, and everything seems splendid.

The man however is new to the whole ordeal.

Being councelled by everyone, on how to treat a lady....

This, he thought, prepares him for every and anything.

Just the thought of fighting alonside his loved one would be enough.

That "True Love Conquers All"

Hillarious. The condemned fool!

Notice how in every situation, the man is put on spot,

Taught how to treat a lady, how not to treat a woman, how to be and not be.

Yet on the side of the woman, her section of counsellors is empty.

Noone telling her, how to treat a man, how not to treat a man,

How to respect a man, how to embrace a man.

This one sided, blind sided world has girded the man for the woman but never both ways!

Noone tells the woman that a man may infact have feelings as well.

Noone instructs the lady that maybe, just maybe, the man can be sincere in both words and actions, never seeking a benefit.

And lets not forget how the young woman was never taught not to vent her emotions, for in so doing, how is the man to react?

Just to accept it as "Her being a Woman"?

But then how should the man react when he gets emotional?

"A man should always be proper to his lady, no matter what"

Yet the lady has lay way to do as her ill emotion driven heart pleases.

so now the man, being so unaware of how to handle this, he begins to change,

React in unhealthy ways, void of understanding.

But who cares? He's a man, He's second to God!!!

Surely he's equipped to deal with every and anything, what need is there to direct the female, to instruce her in that in a relationship, it requires the efforts of BOTH parties!

But thats nonsense. Who cares about how the man is affected? Surely not "MANkind".

The man must provide, clothe, take care of, and supply all, and, while simultaneously doing all these things, must endure the torment of an unwise partner. He dare not react neggatively, as its his role alone to be proper!

I declare that men arent the cause alone of poor relationships.

If an entity such as a couple is to stay afloat must not both be clothed with knowledge as to how to handle each other? Then if this is true, why do all refuse to accept it?

To all you ignorant ladies out there, you foolish parents, mothers and fathers of daughter(s).

This may cause a jolt of uncertainty, but "men have feelings too!"

If a woman abandones him, he cries.

She hurts him, he weeps.

She insults or degrades him, he suffers.

The worst thing is, this world, this culturally inclined wasteland has structured a 'true' man to never show his feelings, (cry, weep, complain...) so what happens to these significant insects which remain hidden deep within their hearts?

Well like all animals of life, if kept in a place too long, they must rebel, in whatever way possible.

But then, the man is in the wrong, and the lady walks out innocent.

Both male and female traverse a harsh and prejudistic road, the difference is, the effects it has an a woman are noticed, while with the man, kept hidden.

This is a pretty original opinion to me I like how clearly you conveyed your point and
how intense u made it! relationships any relationship should be worked on by both people,
men and women creating a bond with one another to make THEIR love grow. There shouldn't
be only one person who loves, cares for, provides, prays and etc. To tell you the truth I've
never heard that women dont have any councilors...but it could be only me I have two
dads who show me what a real man looks like and a mom who illustrates how a woman should treat
her man. I applaud you for writing this and showing how much work it is to care for a lady and telling
us that guys do have emotions because I think thats one of the most talked about thing...guys and their
emotions. Great poem Josh'ua and thank u for sharing your views.

I like the write. I think you have been a victim of a young lady who was not schooled in how to treat us. It happens both ways. You were schooled and you find someone one day that has been schooled and you won't be inspire to create a poem like this. In terms of reality you hit the nail on the head because this female does exist out there. But the ones that know how to take care of her man exist. If you find that girl ask if she has a sister! -smile-

basic gender roles...what you say is very true. girls arent taught these things, but i assume they learnt something...
even girls who dont have a maternal figure to emulate still have some instinct (?) on how to be compassionate.
but id rather be a dude hurt by a girl, than a girl hurt by a dude. the latter seems insurmountable. but i salute u dude...
you're one of the good ones, the dudes who genuinely cares for his lady. and while that is something to applaud,
i suggest that u dont generalize. you find that alot of girls, although their mother never taught them how to treat
a man have read enough romance novels to maintain a passionate relationship lol

And I totally agree with this truth.
Thanx for placing it in a readable form so we may concur.
BRILLIANT WRITE JOSH!
BRILLIANT!
This epitomizes the truth rightfully!

"This may cause a jolt of uncertainty, but "men have feelings too!"
If a woman abandons him, he cries.
She hurts him, he weeps.
She insults or degrades him, he suffers.

I agree a whole lot...

This piece calls for generalization (though i dont normally support it) as this truth is the general value consensus around the world...and thats not right...
What happens to those guys who want to be REAL men?...men who support emotionally and physically, gain self-actualization and the like...
What happens to those with genuinely gud hearts, living in this horrid, judgemental, pessimistic, unjust world?...

Honestly...idk what to tell you...But its my hope that these men may learn through these hardships to read people and find and cherish those who appreciate them for what they stand for; who they are. Guys have feelings too...and that's sumthing thats overlooked..and that SHUD NOT be the case...
However, one man cannot change the views of the whole world..but he can change the views of those in his life. So he must choose to change the views of those in his life by being himself..and only the persons who accept who he actually is (emotions included) shud be in his life.

Great write,Josh!

HIS love endureth forever

God bless.

~~BlessedLove~~;)

It is true that ther are stereotypes of how a woman should react and how a man should react. But in reality a relationship does take both parties to make it work. Yes, one would always hope that a man has been taught how to treat a lady... but in some cases this is not always true. :) A lady should also be taught on how to treat a man... as well. There is no denial, if she wants a relationship to work. But truthfully, it is all about communication. If a man feels, then a man does need to tell a woman. We are not mind readers... just as I suspect men are not mind readers of women. We as women, need to speak up as well. There are differences on how we each think and without communication it is very hard to make things work. :) If we hide behind sterotypes and walls? It isn't going to work no matter how much you want it to.

It takes two halves to make a whole.. and a whole lotta work in between. :p
