PastA Poem by Broken Warrior...The past mocks the present, posing fear in our future. It taunts us with events over which we have no control. Effortlessly it overcomes, overtakes our state of mind, Being just a reminder. Regrets, it uses to inform us of our mortality, insupremecy! Suggesting that failure is inevitable.
Blindsided by guilt, our sustainance is removed. Elusive truths of persistency remain the cause of our utmost downfall! Persistent attempts to undo the 'done' and change the unchangeable Have made us the artists of our own demise.
Those who utter the things of the past are urged to let such things go. But such assistance is in itself misleading. Let it go? Loosen the grip we have on things no longer? Such a desire could never be fulfilled. As long as there remains breath in our lungs, a soul in the shell, The past is very much alive in the present!
The opened door leaves much to question! It leads to a place of contension. The walkway is stained with tears produced by past hurt... Revealing one thing, suffering. How do you move on, when holding on to what wont remove itself.
The future seems dim, because the past remains the shade underwhich fears and uncertainties have placed us under. Beaten voyager! You press on in hopes of a brighter day, when the day is gloomy by the pasts night sky!
Life's ultimate and unbeatable tool -Past. You cannot rearange its events, nor can you seek wisdom from sufferings then witnessed! So of what use is it to remain there? But what hope is there to leave? If this thing has left you in an irrepairable state, how much better can the future be?
~~The past doesnt remain in the past, like a virus it spreads! Infecting your present, poisoining the future, thus forcing you to relive the past, and the cycle of destruction continues! The past isnt behind us, it prevails around us~~
