This song socksA Poem by JoannaThis is probably the most humorous take on something that hurt really bad. I am trying to turn this into a song about someone I used to love. The one rainy afternoon I can not forget that one misty day when you and I first met Walked into a puddle, then we were all set and it didn't matter our shoes were all wet. Later that night I felt rain on my feet and we kissed in every single puddle of the street I said I felt dry but you didn't believe me so you surrendered your socks just for my feet. I realized your socks felt quite alright because they were the ones you gave me that night Your socks made me so very glad that night because the rain was the battle we needed to fight This rainy afternoon I was feeling quite sore like a brave soldier put down at bloody war Decided it was time to look for something more so I ran outside though I had put down my sword I walked into a puddle, one I used to adore sank into it but tried swimming to the shore I went back home and quietly closed the door wasn't quite as strong as I had been before. Then I realized my socks didn't feel right because they were the ones you gave me that night My socks made me quite sad that night because you should know they are yours to fight. © 2013 JoannaAuthor's Note
