Be Yourself

Gotta be yourself to be free,

seriously just learn from me.

I spent years just tryin' to fit in,

I was just goin' down a path of sin.

 

When you try to be cool

you just look like a fool.

If you're all full of lies,

you're just not very wise.

 

As long as others see

more than just what could be.

Life will be great,

when you look at your fate.

 

Some may criticize you,

but to yourself be true.

No matter what your future holds,

your destiny will soon unfold.

 

Sing in the rain,

cry through your pain.

Just be yourself

and nobody else.

 

Life can be hard 

with others on guard 

But you gotta be yourself to be free,

seriously, just learn from me.
