Freeze

Freeze

A Poem by Sarah Katherine

They're back, the raging swarming insects
They have colorful wings and antennae
They try to escape the deepest part of my stomach
They attack every time I think about you
Rendering me unable to eat
They force my heart beat to speed up like it's racing only itself
My breath becomes short, I'm running out of air
Like my lungs are being compressed within an ever shrinking room
and then I freeze
You look at me with that gentle smile
And suddenly, everything's okay

A song of limerence if I ever read one... Its shows the deepest dispair, and the relief felt from a loving moment Thank you !
