Missed Opportunity

Missed Opportunity

A Poem by JJ Escobar

Thinking I did what is best, there goes another one
Waiting for the perfect moment only took me down
What hurts the most, is this pattern I’ve always done
Honestly, I’m sick of it making me look like a clown

This pain is disastrous as I listen to the lies
I’ve let fear take away a confidence that was always mine
Insecurities distorting the view from my eyes
How long will this last? I am limited on time

YHWH I turn to You who knows all things
Renew a whole spirit from my Creator within me
Only You know what the future brings
Lift me up into You so my eyes can see

For you created me to seize the day
My true nature I want to display

Okay, sorry if I offend anyone; but this kind of reminds me of the story of Moses in the Bible. Of how his fears and insecurity were blinding him to see the power that was long bestowed within him.
Anyways, there is no use crying over spilt milk, in this case, missed opportunity. But the only way you can break the pattern is to change where you put your faith in. Instead of your weakness, try His greatness.

Again, sorry if the religious reference offends anyone.
