Win or lose

Win or lose

A Poem by JJ

When you lived you life and it's close to the end
Look at the scoreboard did you lose or win
That person on the corner who wanted a hot meal
Did you pass him up or did you keep it real
That annoying friend who just needed some advice
Did you take the time to listen or didn't think twice
I'm a humble man who takes nothing for granted
I'm thankful for all that I have and my feet are planted
I see people every day who's less fortunate than me
I've always been a giver and didn't do it for the world to see
If I see that your hungry you can have my last meal
That's the kind of person I am just keeping it real
I have no regrets or complaints in this world
Jut wanna thank god for blessing with a boy and girl
Tre and Jessica I've made choices you might not understand
But always remember I'm your number one fan
So if you see someone down give them a lift
God will surely bless you and that's the ultimate gift

This is a splendid poem that teaches how we should all live our lives. It is easy to give, help, advise but we don't always do it. Whether we have a bad day, are angry, or annoyed, we can all learn to be accepting, helping, non-judgmental.

There are a few small grammar errors I found like "I see people every day who's less fortunate" I'd change to "I see people every day who'RE (who are) less fortunate" and "Jut wanna thank god" to "JuSt wanna thank God". No big deal... just small observations.

It is an emotional poem that I enjoyed.
