Chapter 1

A young woman laid in her bed, the lights in her room, off, reflecting on the day when movement caught her eye.

A shadow shot across the glass door that opened up to a second floor balcony.

The woman shut her eyes, trying to ignore the sound when she felt something brush against her foot. Her eyes opened in fear, and she slowly scanned the room. She saw nothing until she looked at her feet and realized the tickle on her foot was her tiger cat’s fur brushing against her bare feet. She pulled the blanket over her feet and when she leaned back a shadow ran across the glass door again. The woman slowly got out of bed while pulling on a bath robe, which was located on a nightstand next to her bed, covering her bare body. Moon light shone around the curves of her legs, and danced off of her elegant blonde hair when she opened the glass door.

Suddenly a hand slammed against the woman’s throat and pinned her against a wall. A figure bit into the woman’s neck, her beautiful blue eyes grew wide, slowly losing the shine as her life was sucked out of her neck.

The figure dropped the woman, allowing her to fall in a mangled heap, and licked its plump red lips. “Woman taste delicious,” sang a female voice as its tongue glided across fangs that extended farther than any of the other teeth. It spun around and strolled toward the balcony. “What a great night,” The figure stood on the railing, taking in the shine of the above moon, until it leapt off of the railing and into the bushes below.

“Now students, be quiet for a moment, I have an announcement,” announced an elderly woman standing at the front of a room filled with kids. She wore a white blouse and a skirt that went below the ankles. Glasses rested on her frail nose and her eyes were squinting through her slightly unkempt grey hair. Her voice was very faint and could be over spoken very easily. The elderly woman stood beside a teenager no older than sixteen.

The teenager had long blonde hair that hung over her shoulders, her bangs were pushed out of the way of her left eye and covered her right eye. Her eyes were a brilliant blue which stood out compared to her pale complexion. She had a black cross around her neck, which rested against the top of her breasts. She wore a black and grey striped shirt with no shoulders, black, skin tight, jeans with holes in the knees, and black high top converse, which were covered in black sharpie, decorated with things like hearts and peace signs.

“This is a new student,” continued the elderly woman. The kids spoke over her with their own conversations. “Introduce yourself,” guided the elderly woman.

“I-” the teenager cleared her throat. “I’m Kimberly, but my friends call me Kiki,”

A teenage boy who sat in the front row in the class did a gesture with his hand that resembled a wave. “Hey Kimberly,”

“That’s James, you can sit next to him if you would like,” informed the elderly woman.

“Thank you, Mrs. Breakmon,” Kiki laughed nervously.

            “Beckman,” corrected the elderly woman.

“Sorry, my apologies,” Kiki hurried off and took her seat next to James. “Hello, James was it?”

“Yeah, Kimberly’s a nice name.” James looked around, thinking of something to say. James had short brown hair, almost a dark blonde, and wore glasses. He had on a white button up short sleeve shirt, which was open to show the white under tank top, black jeans, and a pair of black Vans. A silver iPod shuffle peaked out from his belt loop.

            “Call me Kiki,” Kiki smiled.

“Heh, sure,” James rubbed the back of his neck nervously. “So… you like music?”

“Yeah, I love all kinds of music, but I prefer rock.” Kiki’s red lips curved into a smile.

            “What about rap?” asked James.

“Rap? Oh, it’s disgusting, you listen to that!” Kiki said rap like it was a sin.

“No-” started James, but the bell rang. He started to pack his notebook into his backpack. “No, I don’t listen to it, I was asking beca-” James turned to face Kiki. “And she’s gone…” James gathered his stuff and slung his backpack over his shoulder.

Kiki walked around the halls aimlessly, gawking at the size of the school, when something grabbed her shoulder. “Need some help?”

Kiki spun around to find a larger man holding her shoulder. He looked somewhat fit, with a shaven head, and wore slacks and a sweater vest over a nicer shirt. “Who are you?”

“I’m Mr. Drethtal, the principle of this fine learning establishment. You must be Kimberly, the new student correct?” answered the man.

“Um… yeah, where is D-253?” asked Kiki.

“The D wing is the new wing in the back, and it’s on the second floor,” Mr. Drethtal released Kiki. “You must be beyond the threshold of your classroom before the warning bell, or else you will disrupt the learning environment of the other students. If you are not beyond the threshold you are late. The choice is yours!”

“Okay then, thank you… I guess,” Kiki, hurried away from Mr. Drethtal. “Alright, back of the building, second floor,”

Kiki opened a door and plowed her way into the classroom. “Am I late?” Right when she finished her sentence a bell went off. “I’m good!” A piece of chalk hit Kiki in the forehead.

“You’re not in your seat!” grumbled an older lady. She seemed a bit overweight, and wore a red sweater.

            “So…” wondered Kiki.

“So you’re late!” the lady seemed to have taken on a Russian accent.

            “But- I- Gagh!” exclaimed Kiki.

“Take your seat!” the lady now spoken like an Irish man.

Kiki fumbled with her schedule. “Yes… Mrs.… Boozein?”

            “Bozina!” exclaimed the older lady.

Kiki sat in front of a guy named Nash. Nash was shorter, but he still was very athletic. He usually wore a wrestling tee shirt or under armor and always carried around a New York Giants Gym Bag.

Kiki sat in her desk when an unusual craving overcame her. “Mrs. Bozina!” Kiki raised her hand.”

            “What is it?”

“May I use the bathroom?” requested Kiki.

“You are late to my class and you want to leave? I won’t have it!” grumbled Mrs. Bozina.

            “I really have to go!”

“Fine! If you must, but this is your only time!” Mrs. Bozina spoke with a German accent.

Kiki rushed out of the class room, and searched the halls for a bathroom. Her head throbbed, sweat covered her face. She found a bathroom and burst inside. “I- I have to eat!” Kiki slammed against the wall and slid to a seat on the floor. “I just have to, this craving, I can’t let it go!” Kiki’s eyes were shut tight and she took deep breaths. “I can’t subdue it, I need to feed,”

This a pretty good start for a vampire story. There are some grammatical errors but that happens to every one. The only thing I dont like is it moves a little too fast. Besides that it is pretty good
