I am afraid I have no friend

The call of a sad soul for not having a good friend

If a friend is a person who likes my likes with smile,

 I am afraid I have no friend

If a friend is a person who trusts me without fear,

 I am afraid I have no friend

If a friend is a person who supports me in struggles,

 I am afraid I have no friend

If a friend is a person who sympathizes on my faults,

 I am afraid I have no friend

If a friend is a person who cares the words of pain,

I am afraid I have no friend

If a friend is a person who encourages me in loss,

I am afraid I have no friend

If a friend is a person who stays with me in tears,

I am afraid I have no friend

If a friend is a person who walks an extra mile for me,

I am afraid I have no friend

If a friend is a person who doesn't envy on my success,

I am afraid I have no friend

If a friend is a person who loves though I’m not a good friend

I am afraid I have no friend

If a friend is a person who knows my inner soul,

 I am afraid I have no friend

I believe the word, "good friend" does not exist in a universe where we truly know who we can call a friend. For who they are in our life is an extension of what our heart and soul couldn't even begin to fathom in the beginning. Not every good friend is a friend for even in our darkest moment a friend could be the enemy of which our heart would cling itself too. Not only that but in a sense of who we are to a friend is a friend. Any indication of who they could be as well is up to them. For a friend is a friend but it takes further and deeper to know that a friend doesn't come from the amount of fingers and toes we have rather it is the way our soul opens up to them to consider them deeply as a real friend :)
