ApplesA Poem by Jin TriggerThis is a poem I wrote in response to when I was going after a chick that was involved with some else which preventing me from being with herI love apples. I simply do. So vibrantly red and juicy. I’ve eaten my fair share of apples Most rotten to the core But some good for the soul.
As of late, I have been trying to finish this half a apple But I cannot bring myself to do so. I’ve actually been on the look for a tastier core But my efforts yield no result...until Just the last harvest when I found it… It was bright red and calling my name. My curiosity begs me to take a bite, Knowing it was ever so sweet, but As of now it’s in another farmer’s market
This farmer has yet to take the apple But he keeps a close eye Therefore I have been unable to partake in its glory It is frustrating as the apple may never be mine (As much as I want it to be) But as long as the apple is well taking care of Could I really complain?
I too will closely watch the apple Waiting for the chance to eat But I must also prepare to continue this search Just in case that apple isn’t mine to keep. © 2011 Jin Trigger |
